5 buzz words

The biggest inspiration for me is meeting interesting people. I met Julia Izmałkowa in May when I attended the meeting “Women’s Breakfast” organized monthly by Campus Warsaw.
Julia Izmałkowa gave a lecture on some myths, and why we should not believe in the myth that “you can’t have it all”. Julia’s presentation was very interesting and inspiring. She told us her personal, very touching story, of how a very shy girl, full of complexes, and born in the USSR became a successful entrepreneur. She is the owner and CEO of Izmałkowa Consulting – the first agency in Poland specializing in ethnographic research.
Julia is full of ideas and energy, and she is definitely a colorful person. I became a fan immediately, and I recommend her blog My Flirt with Reality.
On the 2nd of August, Julia had another presentation at Campus Warsaw, and this time she spoke about what happened during Cannes Lions 2016.
You may ask why I was interested in such a topic, given that I do not work for either an advertising or marketing agency. Why should you get interested? Well, because every day we are all bombarded with commercials that provoke emotions which influence our consumer choices. Thanks to Cannes, you know what the latest trends are and you have a map showing where everything is going. You will learn what methods are used by advertisers to influence you.
Julia prepared a brochure with a list of words that are used the most, or actually overused, in Cannes. These buzz-words are the words that will shape the world of advertising and marketing.
