7 Simple ways to relax

 

 

Life is beautiful. I try to find joy in every detail, and generally I can say that 90% of the time I am in a good mood. But of course, I am not a cyborg so I also have some stress in my life from time to time and occasionally the blues. Or sometimes I am just extremely tired.

 

What to do in such situations? Ideally, it would be great to go on a long vacation, but such long vacations are rare. The best ways to relax are the simple ways available for everyone and they cost nothing.

 

 

HERE ARE MY WAYS OF RELAXING:

 

 

  1. Go for a walk

It doesn’t have to be a long walk, just walk in the neighborhood. Even 15 minutes is enough to clear your mind, and most of all, to draw breath and stretch your legs.

 

  1. Take a bike ride

Riding a bike (0.5 – 1h) is not only good for your health, but also relaxes perfectly. I like to feel the wind in my hair. Sometimes I close my eyes and it seems for a moment like I can fly 😉 Try it!

 

  1. Read a book

Take a book that you really want to read, and that you cannot wait to be with it one-on-one. Try to immerse in it! I love to empathize with the protagonists 🙂

 

  1. Sit on the terrace/balcony/garden

Just sit still and comfy, and do nothing. If you want, close your eyes or look into space, and try to clear your mind. I like to look at the trees – green is very relaxing for the eyes. And the best for me is looking at the clouds 🙂 Try it!

 

  1. Drink a cup of coffee or tea

Prepare a cup of your favorite coffee or tea, and celebrate the moment. But neither check your phone nor read anything on your computer. Just you and the coffee! You know what I mean, right?

 

  1. Take a nap

Sit in a comfy armchair or sofa, close your eyes and take a nap.

 

  1. Breathe!

You might say: but I am breathing! Yes, but normally we all breathe rather shallow. Take a deep breath through your nose, hold it for 2-3 seconds, and then let it out slowly via your mouth for 10 seconds. Repeat a few times.
