Today I created another look inspired by the autumn colors. Most people that I know do not like brown, and it’s a pity because everything depends on an appropriate shade of brown. I love rust-colored shades, because they remind me of the autumn leaves.
I wore a rust-colored floral blouse and an faux-leather skirt. In my opinion, we experiment too seldom with mixing colors. Not everything has to be in the same color scheme. Seemingly ill-fitting colors, can create a very interesting combination. When I saw this blouse in an on-line shop, I immediately fell in love with it! I got hooked by these turquoise petals of peonies, and I knew that I had perfect, complementary turquoise shoes in my closet. And they have brown heels! Well, everything was beautifully composed and fell into place by themselves.
The day the pictures were taken was the last hot day of this autumn, so the beige coat (which I love for its beautiful lining) is in this one picture only. I added delicate crystal earrings and a floral golden ring. My simple beige purse tops the whole set-up.
This outfit is also good for work, unless there is a very strict dress code. More work outfit inspirations you will find in my post “Chic at work” (here) and “Red blazer” (here). Additional advice on how to dress for work you will find in my post “Dress for success over 40.” (here).
Today I am taking you for a walk in the area of Saski Park.
