”…I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride it where I like…” – Queen
Bike chic
Not so long time ago, I wrote that I have started my biking season and every time I bike, Queen’s song “Bicycle Race” is spinning in my head. Do you remember that song?
I am not a fanatical biker, because I leave the suede pants and/or the tight cycling pants to “real” cyclists 😉 . I try to do as many things as possible biking, if the weather allows it. So for such purposes, I created my own bike chic – comfy pants (chinos or boyfriend jeans), a shirt, a sweater, a scarf and loafers. When I have a meeting in the center of the city (which is about 7 km from where I live), I simply ride slower not to get sweaty and to still look elegant.
I take a smaller shoulder bag, and a long belt is a must, particularly if I make a small shopping, in which case I take my bag out off the basket, put the shopping in, and then put my bag across my body. My beloved bike is about 15 years old – it’s an oldie but goodie, and I am not going to buy a new one.
How do you like my bike chic?
