Chic at work
Sometimes we all have a dilemma: what should I wear to work? We spend 1/3 of our lives there, so it would be good to feel comfortable, but at the same time we have to remember that we have to look neat and professional.
In my post “Dress for success over 40” (here) I wrote about the image mistakes of mature women and on how to avoid them.
Today I wore an outfit that is very comfortable and simple, and that is also suitable for work. I put on 7/8 length pants and a patterned blouse. The whole outfit is in a matching blue color scheme (don’t be afraid of color at work!).
I didn’t want the whole look to be too monochromatic, so I wore comfortable, mid-high heeled lilac shoes. If you commute to and from work using public transportation, I recommend you wear comfortable flats (why should you torture yourself in high heels?!). In some pictures, you will see a version with navy blue loafers. You may keep your high heeled shoes at work, and then change them there.
I chose delicate accessories: pearl vintage earrings and an interesting ring, and a suede navy blue belt. I added a grey purse, which can hold many things, and matches the image of a professional woman.
I feel comfortable and professional in this outfit. The most important thing, is that this look is natural and doesn’t look unusual. I recommend to you to always be yourself.
Today I am taking you for a walk in the area of Rondo ONZ and Palace of Culture and Science (on the Świętokrzyska Street side).
What do you think about such an outfit? Tell me in the comments here, or on my FB fanpage.
