Green is my favorite color. I like to match it with different colors, especially with navy or blue. I like such non-obvious combinations. If you want to learn more about different ways of combining colors, i.e. color blocking, then read my post here.
I usually wear dresses or skirts, but from time to time I am in the mood to wear trousers. If it’s hot, I like to wear cotton chinos.
I love them for their comfort, and because I feel elegant in them, and yet casual at the same time. For me, they are perfect for a smart casual look. I have a weakness for navy blue chinos, but other colors are not bad either.
Chinos are usually 7/8 length. This length shortens your legs and your whole silhouette, so either it doesn’t bother you as in my case, or you put on heeled pumps or wedges (but no ankle stripe ;)).
Today the green chinos play the main role. I paired them with a pale blue shirt (50/50 linen and cotton) that stole my heart, not only because of its color and fabric, but also because of the contrasting cuff’s.
Perhaps it’s not visible in the pictures, but there small blue flamingos. I like such interesting details, as they give an extra zest.
I added the yellow statement earrings which nicely contrast the whole outfit. I attached a silk yellow scarf (with some blue pattern) to my circle basket bag, which you already know from my post “Linen shirt is like an urban safari (here).
If you add a scarf, pompoms or a pendant to your basket each time you, will give it a whole new appearance.
Most of all I appreciate comfort, especially during hot weather and when I walk a lot, so I wear very comfortable navy espadrilles. The color of espadrilles corresponds with the belt. The chinos also look great with moccasins and sneakers, and they will also work with pumps – everything depends what you like. 🙂
Today I took you for a walk in the area of the Vistula Boulevard.
