A black and white combination is a timeless classic. Today I wore a white blouse with puffed sleeves, black trousers with side stripes, and classic black pumps.
I paired the blouse with trousers intentionally, because when we women go to a party/reception, we usually choose a dress. But not every woman likes dresses/skirts, or you may not feel like wearing a dress/skirt. So a white blouse with black pants is a great alternative. It is enough to embellish your outfit with some interesting accessories!
This blouse, due to its low front and back neckline, is perfect for various evening events, like going out to an elegant restaurant, a carnival party, a New Year’s eve party at home or at your friends’ place, to a theatre or an opera, or a company party.
Regarding accessories, I chose shades of blue and navy that you will find on this beautiful, fringed velvet shawl with an interesting print.
I paired it with a velvet, sapphirine belt with a golden buckle, and a suede blue purse with a golden chain. Speaking of jewelry, I chose long earrings with pearls that are perfect for my short, classic bob, and two interesting rings.
If you don’t like shawls or are not in the mood to wear one, then you can add an interesting necklace. For example a classic pearl necklace. Pearls are always a good choice as they add elegance and elevate any outfit instantly!
Or you can go crazy with an artistic, statement necklace. You will definitely stand out 🙂
Or you can choose something funny, like this beautiful necklace with an apple-ball.
Finally, add a bold lipstick or smoky eyes, and go and conquer the world 😉
Frankly speaking, timeless classics will always resonate, but the power resides in the interesting accessories!
