It is sweater weather – long cardigans

The Autumn has arrived and that means it is sweater weather! I like this transition period, when it is still too early to wear coats, but it is the perfect time to wear long cardigans or dusters.

Once I wrote that smart casual is actually my everyday style-in short “my uniform” (here). What does my uniform mean to me? It means that it has to be comfortable and neat, plus it needs to have a splash of vivid color.

The basis of today’s outfit is cream jeans and a cream shirt with some spots in blue, black and beige. Actually, these pieces will look good with many types and colors of cardigans/blazers and shoes. You can pair it with loafers, oxford shoes or pumps with mid-high heels.

Today’s outfit has the same basis, and it is enough to change the cardigan and shoes, and we create a whole new look.

One version of my outfit is with an orange cardigan and brown loafers.

The second version is with a blue cardigan and light blue loafers.

And please pay attention to one key point, that my jewelry, shoe fittings and belt fittings are golden, so that both looks are nicely pulled together.

I chose a beige purse, which is a very neutral color, and fits with many outfits.

I hope that I inspired you to wear long cardigans and flat shoes. Which outfit do you like better?
