I have written a few times that I love shirtdresses. In my opinion, this type of dress suits almost all body shapes. They can be straight or flared, so every woman can find something appropriate for her.
I rarely wear maxi dresses, but sometimes I find one that steals my heart, and that was the case here. My heart was stolen by its color and pattern.
I like to experiment with color combinations, so this time I decided to combine pink and orange. I was inspired by this orange belt with the fuchsia buckle. Here I combined analogous colors. If you want to read more about the various ways of combining colors then read my post here.
When I was buying this belt, I actually had this dress in mind, but I will also use it with other outfits. When I got dressed, I thought of the cross body bag that I had for years, with exactly the same color combination.
Almost every shirtdress has a self-belt, which I usually exchange with other belts, primarily because sometimes the shirtdresses look a little too much like a robe with self-belts. I believe that a belt change immediately elevates a shirtdress.
Choosing earrings with orange elements and the orange ballet flats was an obvious choice for me. With the fuchsia statement lipstick I was ready to go! 🙂
I chose ballet flats because I am tall, and I don’t like wearing high heels with maxi dresses, although maxi dresses look great with wedges.
Today I took you for a walk in the area of the Old Town.
