„Paint my world yellow and blue” is a line from a very popular song from my childhood. It’s a beautiful love song full of colorful metaphors. I often hum those lines, especially when the days are grey and gloomy, and I miss sunny days. You should know that there is not much sun in Poland in winter.
So this song was an inspiration for today’s outfit, although I chose navy blue instead of blue. Why is my sweater and purse green though? It’s because the mixture of yellow and blue gives green. I love playing with colors! If you want to know more about color blocking then read my post here.
It was very cold when we were taking the pictures, so I didn’t dare to take my coat off outside. My sweater is cashmere and the coat is woolen so I was quite warm. Fortunately, there is a nice staircase in the building where I have my office so I was able to show you the whole outfit.
I like to wear thick stockings in the same color as my boots, especially when I wear a knee length skirt. In this way, the silhouette looks nice, and seems to be longer and leaner because you avoid the horizontal line under your knee that is created by the boots.
So I use bold colors, especially yellow, to brighten short winter days 🙂
