Round-up Week 20
This week was GOOD because…#smallpleasures #joyoflife
- On Thursday May 19th, I had the pleasure to take part in a conference “Be the Change” organized by the Entrepreneur Women’s Network.
The conference was very interesting and inspiring. The topics included: is it necessary to be afraid of change, how to prepare for the change, what internet skills change business, emotions in business, etc.
Kreatywne Magazine prepared a special edition especially for this conference.
As it was possible to take part in one of the three workshops, I chose “Social media – why and how to show yourself and your business there” conducted by Martyna Tarnowska who is 21 yo (!). It’s a natural environment for such a young person. I learned a lot of useful knowledge.
If you visit my blog regularly, you probably know that I am a big fan of the monthly breakfast meetings organized by the Entrepreneur Women’s Network.
If you are looking for a place where you can:
– meet other women who have their own businesses,
– exchange contacts,
– find inspiration and advice
the “Entrepreneurs breakfast meetings” is a perfect place for you. Highly RECOMMENDED!
- On Friday May 20th, I attended the meeting “Women’s Breakfast” organized monthly by Campus Warsaw. Such breakfasts are free, and if you want to take part in it, you should register via the Campus website.
There were two lectures, one hosted by Agnieszka Wrzesień and Piotr Żyłko – the owners and creators of Kreatywne Magazine, and the second one by Julia Izmałkowa – the owner of Izmałkowa Consulting and the author of the blog My Flirt with Reality.
Agnieszka and Piotr talked about simplicity in writing and its strength. Their lecture was very useful for everyone who writes either articles or a blog. Again, I learned a lot J . This magazine is one of my favorite magazine since it first appeared on the market last year, and I highly recommend it!
Julia Izmałkowa gave a lecture on some myths, and why we should not believe in a myth that “you can’t have it all”. Julia’s presentation was very interesting and inspiring. She told us her personal, very touching story, of how it happened that a very shy, full of complexes girl, born in the USSR, became a successful entrepreneur. Julia is full of ideas and energy, and she is definitely a colorful bird. I became her fan immediately and I recommend her blog.
- On Saturday May 21st, I had the pleasure to take part in an event „Saturday in a good style” organized by multibrand LIYA boutique (MODO Mall at 22 Lopuszanska Street). Liya’s motto is “Liya. Dress your personality”.
I am very happy that I met the owner Liliana Kostka-Majewska last year at a workshop. We talked a few times, we liked one another, and in the meantime I became a fan of the Liya boutique.
From time to time Liya organizes interesting events, for example the “Stylish Evening with Liya” which took place on the 10th of March.
I will write a separate post about this event. There will be many pictures and you will see a makeover of one of the woman who was there.
On Saturday May 21st there was a Mokotowska Street Celebration. This is an annual event organized by the community “Mokotowska Welcomes You”. This event attracts many people from Warsaw, as well as tourists. Every shop welcomes guests with “bubbles” and there are special discounts and surprises for the customers.
WHY was this week GOOD FOR YOU?
