“The China Study” – by T. Colin Campbell, PhD and Thomas Campbell, MD
I bought this book about 2 years ago and I have to admit that it is one of the most interesting books about diet that I have ever read. It is not a diet book! I bought this book in a very specific moment of my life, when it was really bad with me (perhaps I will write about it one day) and the change of my diet helped me a lot. Highly RECOMMENDED!
“In The China Study, Dr. T. Colin Campbell details the connection between nutrition and heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. The report also examines the source of nutritional confusion produced by powerful lobbies, government entities, and opportunistic scientists. The New York Times has recognized the study as the “Grand Prix of epidemiology” and the “most comprehensive large study ever undertaken of the relationship between diet and the risk of developing disease.”
The China Study is not a diet book. Dr. Campbell cuts through the haze of misinformation and delivers an insightful message to anyone living with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and those concerned with the effects of aging.” (source of description and photo: amazon.com)
2. This week was GOOD because…#smallpleasures #joyoflife
I haven’t attended any events this week because my son had chicken pox. The good news is that I didn’t catch it from him although I have never had it.
