A white shirt is a classic piece. Today, it’s hard for me to believe that in the past, I didn’t like either white shirts or white clothes. Fortunately, with age my style has changed, and I started appreciating so called basic clothes. And a white shirt is for me a basic. It matches everything, it’s enough to accessorize it and every time it will look different, depending on what accessory you choose.
A white shirt doesn’t have to be boring. It’s enough when it has an interesting detail. This shirt stole my heart with its pleated cuffs, and I couldn’t resist myself as it had to be mine. I am not going to hide that my style icon is Carolina Herrera, and actually thanks to her, I warmed to white shirts, pearls, A-line and delicately flared skirts.
Today I decided to pair a white shirt with warm earthy colors. So I wore a brown skirt in a beautiful cinnamon tone. This skirt is slightly gathered at the waist with slit pockets at the sides (that I love!). Besides, it has a nice pattern with small horses-another small detail that makes this skirt special.
I chose caramel accessories, i.e. a purse, belt and suede pumps.
And of course, I had to choose some pearls so I added two pearl necklaces that were especially made to order. Pay attention to the interesting clasp.
Such beautiful and sunny weather needs sunglasses, so I chose one with golden frames. Generally speaking, when I choose accessories I like when all metal elements have the same color, which is gold in my case because I prefer gold to silver. In my opinion, it creates a pulled together look. In such an outfit I feel like a million dollars!
As we took these pictures in the morning, it was a bit crispy so I put on a parka. I chose a parka on purpose instead of a trench. Such an outfit can also be worn at the office.
Truly speaking, I chose this outfit to please my husband who dislikes denim a lot (except for jeans), and he was complaining that lately I showed too much denim on the blog.
Today I took you for a walk on the banks of the Vistula river.
