Winter pastels

I am not a big fan of winter, because I love warm weather. But winter has its good sides, like long evenings with a good book and a hot, winter tea. Unfortunately, short days and too little sun don’t have a good impact on me, so I am trying to find an antidote.

One of the ways to lift my spirits is through colors. In addition to vivid colors like red and fuchsia which cheer me up instantly, I also love pastels. Who said that only darks should be worn during winter? If that were true, then I would definitely feel down.

Today I am all in pastels – a combination of powder pink, light grey and white. My skirt is rather wintery as it is made out of faux suede. I paired it with a nice powder pink blouse with butterfly print (I love butterflies!), so I immediately felt very “Springy”. I added light grey, tall, suede boots and light grey tights.

It was very cold during the picture shoot, so some pictures were taken at my place, and then we went outside just for a moment, because I wanted to show my white coat, cap and bag. I felt like the Snow White, or rather the Snow Queen 😉

What do you think about such an outfit? Would you choose pastels for winter? Tell me in the comments here, or on my FB fanpage.
