Yellow midi skirt and vichy shirt

A yellow midi skirt and vichy shirt is my interpretation of how to combine yellow and pink, and also how to mix vichy and lace.

I have been looking for a yellow midi skirt, necessarily with slide pockets, for quite a while. I think you know how it is when you really want to have something, and it’s just not available in the shops.

What to do in such a situation? I decided to order a made to measure skirt. I recalled that one of the designers, Justyna Ołtarzewska, has her atelier in my district. Her specialty is the design of wrap and shirt dresses – my two favorite cuts! I also remembered that I saw a beautiful, yellow lace dress in this summer’s collection. So I grabbed my mobile and I ordered this skirt! 🙂

So today I am presenting to you my gorgeous yellow midi skirt! I seldom wear lace, but if you look closely, then you will see that this fabric is actually not lace, but rather so called Richelieu embroidery – a kind of eyelet. Besides slide pockets, the second thing that I wanted to have were belt loops, because I like wearing my skirt with belts.

I paired my skirt with a pink vichy shirt. I did it on purpose, because first of all, I like atypical color combinations, and second of all, I wanted to balance this very feminine dress with a simple shirt.

Regarding accessories, I chose pink suede pumps, pearl earrings and a raspberry pink belt. The whole outfit is topped up by a large white clutch, which gives this outfit a modern look.

Today I took you for a walk in the Rydz-Smigly Park.

If you want to learn more about different ways of combining colors, i.e. color blocking, then read my post here.
